What is an ATC?ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) are small pieces of original artwork, sized 2.5" x 3.5". That's the size of a regular playing card -- and that's the only rule! When you create your ATC, you can draw, sketch, paint, ink, collage anything you want, as long as it fits on the card.
Every ATC is created with the intention of swapping with another artist. Curating your own ATC collection is a fun way to connect with other artsy people while honing your own art skills. Not only are they fun to make, but ATCs are an awesome way to start collecting pieces of original artwork from both your peers and professionals! How it works:
Create your artwork on a 2.5" x 3.5" card (we recommend using heavy cardstock, but any kind of paper will work).
Remember to PRINT your name, home base, the date, and any extra info (ie: your website or social handles) on the back of your card!! Collectors love to know who made their awesome new artwork, and adding your socials means swappers will be able to credit you for your work. Vertical Divider

Make sure to share your ATC swaps on your socials! Sharing cool artwork with your followers will help them find your new favourite artist (and when someone swaps for your card, they'll help you find a new audience, too!)

We'll add your ATCs to the NorVA Swap Book, where our members can browse and trade for your art!
Want to get some cards back? Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your ATCs, and we'll send you up to three cards from our collection! |

WHERE DO I SEND MY CARDS?
Send your ATC creations to: ATC Abroad c/o FlitterMouseArt PO Box 86 Flin Flon, MB R8A 1M6 Canada HOW MANY CARDS CAN I SEND? You can send as many as you want! We recommend one to three cards per envelope (that's how many cards we make during an average Club meeting). **Please note that if you want to get ATCs from our collection in return, you'll need to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your ATCs. HOW DO I GET A CARD BACK? We'll make the trade for you! Just remember to send us a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your ATCs. One of our Club Stars will choose cards from our collection to mail back to you! HOW MANY CARDS WILL I GET BACK? We'll swap up to three cards for you. So, if you send three cards, you'll get three cards back. If you send five cards at once, we'll add them all five to our Swap Book, but we're only able to send a maximum of three cards back at a time. **Please note that we must receive a self-addressed & stamped envelope from you in order to send you ATCs from our Swap Book. CAN I CHOOSE WHICH CARDS I GET FROM YOUR SWAP BOOK?
The only way to choose your swaps is to make your swap in person. ATC Abroad swaps will be chosen from our collection at random, but don't worry -- you'll get awesome artwork from us! All of our ATCs are carefully curated. We only add the best art from each of our members to our official Swap Book! HOW LONG BEFORE I GET MY ATC SWAPS FROM YOU? We're at the mercy of the Canada Post Ponies. Please allow 2-4 weeks for us to receive, process, swap, and return your ATCs. WILL YOU SHARE MY ART? You betcha! Remember to PRINT your details CLEARLY on the back of your card (including your name, home base, date, and any extra info you want to share). We'll use that info to tag you when we share your ATCs on our socials. HOW WILL I KNOW IF SOMEONE SWAPS FOR MY CARD? We encourage sharing! If you added your name and social handles on the back of your ATC, you'll probably get tagged by the new owner when they share their swaps online. HOW DO I GET THE PROMPTS & CREATIVE CHALLENGES? Easy! Join us on Discord! We'll be posting our weekly prompts and chatting online between meetings. Our channel is open for sharing, swapping, and networking. Just drop in and say "hi!" |
